# Phrasing Performance

This section lets you create and manage phrasing subjects: reference expressions whose use and effectiveness you want to track across sessions.

## Create a phrasing subject

* Click "**Create a phrasing subject**".
* Add one or more **reference formulations**: the exact phrases this subject searches for.
* Use "**Explore candidates**" to find other similar formulations already used by your users.

## Set the scope condition

Determines which sessions are measured by this subject. Sessions outside this condition are entirely ignored — they count as neither Good nor Bad.

* Add a rule or a group of rules with "**Add a rule**" / "**Add a group**".

## Set the good condition

Within the defined scope, a session is Good if this condition matches, otherwise it is Bad. There is no third outcome.

#### Deleting a phrasing subject

In the "Danger zone" at the bottom of the detail page, the "**Delete phrasing subject**" button removes it permanently.
