# Settings

Once the Dual Channel application is installed, you can access the following hidden icon from your Windows taskbar:

Right-clicking this icon gives you access to the following options and information:

* The application version;
* A button to enable or disable the application launching automatically when the computer starts;
* The home page;
* The application performance page;
* The application settings page;
* A button to quit the application for the current Windows session, so it no longer runs in the background.

{% hint style="warning" %}
Dual Channel auto-start is enabled when the button reads **“Disable startup launch.”**
{% endhint %}

{% hint style="danger" %}
Clicking **“Quit application”** stops CogNeed and prevents you from using its features.
{% endhint %}

## Home page

You will find all the Live App features there, as described in the following section:

{% endcontent-ref %}

## Settings page

You will find the input and output devices used for CogNeed’s voice detection, the synchronization status, and—if applicable—a link to return to the Live App.

<figure><img src="https://160715368-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FRFCbypPSQCx2ezWjFUPY%2Fuploads%2FLdsI60Ip3KhK2wi2xgR0%2Fimage.png?alt=media&amp;token=de83a010-0fdc-4a76-8898-e134f5488921" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

You can test your device’s input and output by clicking the app’s **Test** buttons:

* **Input:** the user’s microphone. Simply speak into the selected microphone to confirm that CogNeed detects audio when the sound wave “moves”.
* **Output:** the user’s headset. To test output, you need to play any sound on the user’s workstation (a YouTube video, a phone call, a Teams call, etc.). Then check that the sound wave “moves” appropriately when the sound is received in the headset.

{% hint style="warning" %}
Make sure your headset microphone is selected under **“Input.”**
{% endhint %}
