# Decision tree

A **decision tree** is a sequence of questions and information that allows users to follow a specific path to obtain a specific result, diagnosis, or answer.

### Access a decision tree from Live application

To the left of the "Play" button in the CogNeed app is the icon for accessing decision trees. Click it, and the app window expands to reveal the "decision trees" section.

In this section, 3 actions are possible:

1. Search through the various trees available in the project.
2. Click on a tree to launch it.
3. Expand the decision trees section to cover the main screen by clicking the icon to the left of "All Trees."

### At the end of the decision tree

Once all the steps have been completed, you arrive at the conclusion of the decision tree. The last leaf appears and includes a result, a diagnosis, instructions, or relevant information.\
Below, on a gray background, you can see the step-by-step progression of the tree, as well as the notes you took.

At this point you have the option to:

* **Modify** one of the previous steps and resume the tree from that step.
* **Copy summary**: Everything you see in the tree flow report (result and tree flow) will be copied.
* **Generate report**: *If your organisation has subscribed to CogNeed Advanced*, you have the option to generate a summary of all the information obtained in the tree, including the notes. You will then have the option to copy this summary.
* **Restart** the tree from scratch.
* **Terminate** this tree and return to the decision tree selection screen.

It is <mark style="color:red;">**IMPORTANT**</mark> to <mark style="color:red;">**terminate**</mark> the decision tree you are on before starting another one.
